Gregory Guay

Gregory plays traditional classical and latin guitar repertoire, such as Pachelbel's Canon, Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring but also enjoys playing jazz, pop, or contemporary arrangements, such as Beatles, when requested to do so for ceremony or prelude music. For cocktail hour or reception he can spice it up a bit with some R&B if you like.  From Charleston, SC to the High Country he performs in recital halls and weddings on beaches, plantations and the most elegant halls and churches.  He uses an amplifier to assist with audibility in an outside setting, which the officiant can also use. Gregory completed his Masters of Music in Classical Guitar Performance Appalachian State University in May 2011 and his B.F.A. in Music at College of Charleston, receiving Departmental Honors and Awards for Instrumental Excellence in Classical Guitar Performance. Gregory has performed several times in both  the Young Artist Series of Charleston’s Piccolo Spoleto Festival and St. Luke's Recital Series, as well as regular recitals in the eastern U.S.
